Find a species page

Each taxonomic term e.g. a family, a genus and a species, has its own page and any content e.g. assessments, comments, pages, forum items etc. that are tagged with a species name will be grouped on the species page. For an example see:  Ansellia africana

You can find a species page using the taxonomy browser or the search box.

Taxonomy Browser

On the left-hand sidebar is the Monocots taxonomy browser. The starting level is families and by clicking on a family name the child taxa e.g. genera will appear and similarly clicking on a genus will reveal species names. In order to see the related pages for families, genera and species you need to click the blue 'plus' next to the names.

Search box

At the top of the right-hand sidebar is the search box. The default simple search behaves like any standard search tool. To search on a taxonomic term click 'Taxonomy' above the search box and enter a taxonomic term. As you type in the box a list of taxonomic terms appears and you can select them to go directly to the relevant page.
